The Active Solar Range

Envirosun’s Active Solar (AS) range of pumped or active solar hot water systems offer greater flexibility, improved aesthetics and higher capacity, along with maximum efficiency and reduced energy costs.

Only the solar collectors are installed on the roof, harnessing energy from the sun and transferring it to a ground-mounted storage tank. The tank can be installed indoors or outdoors in convenient or secluded locations. The working principle is simple. When the solar panels are able to add heat to the storage tanks, a small pump activates to circulate the hot water from the panels and replace the cold water from the tanks. Once the tank is filled with hot water, the pump will stop but be ready for the next cycle.

Pump systems have been around for years, but modern electronics and materials are setting new standards. Both functionality and reliability have been improved. Today’s Envirosun AS system incorporates many of these technological advances and combines them with our collector technology to create a series of powerful active solar water heating systems that maximize solar absorption and heat storage whether you live in low or high irradiance areas.

The AS range features enamel-lined mild steel tanks with anode protection, built to withstand high pressure and temperatures. These tanks are insulated with pressure-injected polyurethane foam, ensuring excellent heat retention, structural strength, and faster delivery of hot water at high pressures suitable for multiple simultaneous outlets.

High-Quality Controls and Pumps

Equipped with German-made Resol Deltasol controllers and European Salmson solar pumps, the AS systems ensure reliable, efficient circulation and precise temperature control. The smart controller offers a clear LED display for temperature monitoring and system status, while the robust pumps offer dependable service with brass fittings and stainless steel internals.

Backup Boosters for Any Weather

To guarantee constant hot water availability, Envirosun AS systems include options for electric and gas boosters. These boosters activate only when solar heating is insufficient, ensuring energy is maximized without compromising hot water supply.
