Is the quality equal to more expensive brands and are they reliable?
The Envirosun heat pump is made by the world’s largest appliance manufacturer and is made to European and Australian standards – it is the world’s biggest selling heat pump, as rated by Euromonitor.
The Envirosun system has been manufactured for over a decade and has been sold in China, Europe and now in Australia and New Zealand. It is a very mature product and has excellent reliability.
Will it save me money, is it a good investment?
The average family spends approximately $900 per year on water heating. Installing an Envirosun will save you around $650 per year if you don’t have solar power and a whopping $850 if you use the free energy that you are producing if you have solar power installed.
I am not good with technology, is Envirosun easy to use?
Once your installer programs that system for you, there is nothing for you to do as it literally controls itself. Even sanitation of the tank, to guard against legionella, is automatic. Just set and forget. If you need to change any settings to suit your usage pattern, there are many instructional videos.
I have heard heat pumps are noisy, is this true?
Envirosun heat pumps are similar to a split air conditioning system and make a similar amount of noise. Whilst daytime operation is never a noise issue, any noise at night can be problematic so we always recommend using the systems timers to limit running hours between 6am and 10pm to ensure that neighbours are not affected.
The area I live in has very hard water and I have heard that this causes hot water systems to fail, will the Envirosun system last?
We understand that many regions have poor water quality that will affect anode life and ultimately lead to premature tank failure. This is why all Envirosun HP Plus systems come with 3 full length anodes for maximum protection.
